Each group is founded and led by staff, supported by the institution, and open to everyone. Some gather around shared backgrounds and identities, others around sport, food, arts and crafts, or the pleasure of like-minded company. Whatever draws you in, there is a place for you at AIIB. And if the right group doesn’t exist, you are welcome to build it.

Family support network
A global move is a family decision. We support the whole family.
Relocating to a new country is not only a professional transition. For many of our international staff, it is also a significant change for their partner, children, and family life. AIIB's Family Support Network (FSN) is here to make that transition, and everything that follows, as smooth as possible.
The FSN is an HR-led initiative designed to help staff and their families settle into Beijing, navigate practical questions, and build a genuine sense of connection and community from the moment they arrive.
What the FSN offers
Pre-arrival support
Practical guides and briefings covering housing, schools, healthcare, pets, and digital setup so your family arrives prepared, not overwhelmed.
A dedicated point of contact
A Community Liaison Officer (CLO) serves as a single, trusted contact for staff and families throughout the relocation process and beyond.
Welcome and community activities
Opportunities to meet other AIIB families and connect with the wider staff community from the moment you arrive in Beijing.
Partner support
Guidance to help partners understand the local environment, professional landscape, and networking opportunities available to them.
Peer connections
Buddy and volunteer networks that connect newly arrived families with experienced colleagues who have been through the same transition.
Ongoing community engagement
Support that does not stop after the first few weeks, and continuous initiatives to help families feel at home for the long term.
