Four steps to your career at AIIB

Our structured approach ensures every candidate is evaluated fairly and has a
transparent view of our culture.

  1. 01

    Preparation

    • Get to know us better

Learn about AIIB before you apply. Follow us on LinkedIn to see what our people are sharing, read the AIIB Blog for insights into our work and thinking, and visit our YouTube channel for coverage of our projects and events. The more you understand our mission and culture, the stronger your application will be.

    • Set up your profile

Create your profile on AIIB’s Candidate Portal and set up job alerts so you are notified when a role that matches your experience and interests becomes available.

    • Search for roles

Browse open positions by area and location. Use filters to narrow your search by function, experience level, and working location.

  2. 02

    Application

    • Tailor your CV

Read the job description carefully and shape your CV to reflect the skills and experience most relevant to that role. Use clear, concise language.

    • Multiple roles

You are welcome to apply to more than one position. Make sure the roles are complementary and reflect a coherent professional portfolio.

    • Cover letter

A cover letter is optional. Use it to share context or experience that your CV does not fully capture.

    • Give it a shot

If you meet more than half the requirements and are genuinely excited about the role, apply.

  3. 03

    Interviews and
    assessments

    • Shortlisting

Our hiring managers will review your application and a recruiter will reach out if there is a potential match.

    • Assessments

Depending on the role, you may be invited to complete skills-based assessments (recorded video, written exercise, or technical test).

    • Panel interview

Typically conducted by a panel of four to six people drawn from the hiring department and a complementary business unit.

    • Final interview

Shortlisted candidates might have a final one-on-one interview with the department head.

  4. 04

    Offer

    • Welcome to AIIB

If you receive an offer, congratulations! Your recruiter will guide you through all the details, including your contract, start date, and onboarding arrangements. We look forward to welcoming you to the team.

    • Unsuccessful this time?

Don’t give up. Not being selected for one role does not close the door to AIIB. We encourage candidates to keep building their skills and continue exploring opportunities with us.

Do your homework but go beyond the website. Read our Annual Report, follow our LinkedIn, watch our project videos on YouTube. Candidates who understand what AIIB actually finances, and why it matters, stand out immediately. We can tell the difference between someone who googled us the night before and someone who genuinely cares about the mission.
